There’s not a lot of movement in The Sporting News High School Boys Basketball Top 25 this week, but the Chipotle Nationals tournament promises to shake things up in the final rankings next week.
Upsets in state championship games in Indiana and Minnesota did lead to one small change near the bottom of the rankings. The Crown Point [IN] Bulldogs were upset in Indiana’s state championship finale by the Mt. Vernon [Fortville, IN] Marauders, opening up one spot. That was poised to go to Tartan [Oakdale, MN], but the Titans’ loss in the Minnesota state championships ended their bid for Top 25 glory.
Instead, it’s the Seven Lakes [Katy, TX] Spartans who return to the list, nailing down the final position in a campaign in which the Texans fell short of their state championship aspirations after a 35-0 start to the season.
